Community guidelines
EditXP works when every editor feels safe to share unfinished, ambitious work. These rules apply to edits, comments, profiles and ratings.
The rules
- Be constructiveCritique the edit, not the editor. Say what works and what to try. No harassment, bullying or pile-ons.
- Rate honestlyScore every edit against the guide, whoever made it. Rating rings, swapping 5s with friends and alt accounts are banned.
- Use only the supplied footagePlus your own titles, graphics and sound. Never re-upload someone else’s edit as your own.
- Follow the AI policyAI tools are fine for clean-up: noise reduction, transcription, upscaling and masking. AI-generated shots, voices or automatic editing are not allowed.
- Keep it safe for everyoneNo hate speech, sexual content, graphic violence, threats, or content that promotes self-harm.
- No spam or scamsNo fake hire offers, phishing links or selling accounts.
Reporting
Use Report on any edit, comment or profile. Reports are confidential. Our moderators review them within 24 hours and can remove content, issue warnings, suspend accounts or reset scores affected by cheating. You’ll be told the outcome, and you can appeal any decision about your own content.
Blocking
Blocking someone hides their comments and edits from you and stops them following, commenting on or contacting you. They aren’t told.
If you need help now
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. If you’re struggling, you can talk to Samaritans for free, any time, on 116 123.
